It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Finally, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to produce her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her first appearance and seven global championships have come from 10 tries across formats.

The tough gloveman was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India temporarily stopped the winning streak.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this performance followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because it appeared I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit activate and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and after that the right-hander was on her way.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this success coming after victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

During that phase they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she afterwards confessed those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is likely to be her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as leader.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
